In essence, audio mixing is taking separate tracks and combining them together to create a song or musical piece and here at DyHard Productions, we can mix your track! 

The job of a mixer is to create a blend that excites the listener and emphasises the emotion and direction of the track. A great mix is an essential element of any successful song, and at DyHard Productions we have mixed 100s of songs for recording artists, TV, movies and more.

“What is your audio mixing process?”

Communication with the artist is key, so we always discuss what the client is looking to achieve from the mix, for example if they want the song to be raw and direct, or more polished and commercial? We find out how many tracks will make up the mix, and if any work is needed on them such as tuning and cleaning. We are then able to provide you with a custom quote. We then get to work on the mix!

“How can I send you the files?”

You can share the files with us on your preferred platforms, such as Google Drive or Dropbox.

“Can you tune and time my vocals?”

Yes, we have several high-end vocal tuning plugins, and we can tune your vocals if required. We can also time your vocals if it is needed, and we often do this manually to achieve a precise and natural feel.

“Do you have a track limit?”

No! We can mix projects with any amount of tracks.

“What equipment do you use?”

We have a sound-treated mixing room, with high-end Yamaha monitors & Audio Technica headphones. We mix tracks on Reaper, our preferred DAW. We have 100s of plugins for compression, effects and more, as well as the WAVES mercury bundle which contains 172 plugins.

“What is the payment process & what files do you deliver?”

We accept payment via PayPal, and all prices are in USD. We request a 50% deposit before starting the composition, and 50% after you approve of the final mix. The mixes are sent to you in mp3 format, with a DyHard Productions audio watermark. Once the final mix is approved and the balance is paid we send you the full quality mix in a WAV file.

“How many revisions do I get?”

This can be discussed before we start the process, but typically a mix would have 4 revisions.

“What is your audio mixing timescale?”

Again, this can be discussed beforehand but a typical mix would take approx 1 week for the 1st mix to be delivered. After discussing your project with you we can give you a clearer time frame depending on the work involved.

“Do I have to credit you for your work?”

For much for our work, we offer a ‘buy out’ – meaning we provide our service as ‘work for hire. In that scenario, you don’t have to credit us, but you can also credit us if you wish – we always appreciate it! 

“Can I hear examples of your work?”

The songs contained are just a selection of our work, and we have also broken down the tracks into playlists to make it easier to find what you are looking for. Each song has some written detail regarding how we contributed to the track, from full songwriting and composition to top-line writing or mixing.
